Chimney Cake Cooking Roll – Small
€18.00 +vat
Chimney cake small cooking rolls are generally used to produce:
- A small sweet cylindrical product, with a small diameter, which pudding or fresh cream can be pipped inside.
- A small savoury cylindrical product, with a small diameter, which a small in length sausage can be interested into. We call this product, “The Chimney dog”
- Some customers use the small rolls to make a ‘child’ size product, or they make small versions of different flavours and offer as a multi flavoured gift box.
Highlights
- Re-designed & engineered front pin, resulting in smoother rotation, less resistance from the motor screw point and less chance of damaging the motor when removing the cooking roll from the baking machine.
Description
If you would like to produce sweet and savoury products, we strongly advise that separate rolls are used for each type. This is because the taste / smell absorbs into the wood, therefore using a set only for savoury and only for sweet, means that you reduce the risk of cross contamination.
Size
Length of cooking area: 13cm
Diameter of cooking area: 3.5cm
Total length of roll: 54cm
When using wooden cooking rolls, it is important that you cover most of the wooden cooking area with dough. Exposed areas will burn over time.
We can make customised cooking roll sizes, please ask us for more information about this service.
Wooden cooking rolls need to be ‘seasoned’ before use. This means that the cooking area needs to be painted with cooking oil. We suggest that this is done three or four times a day for three days, so that the oil, soaks into the wood.
Wooden cooking rolls should NOT be left to soak in water as this will cause the wood to swell and split. If the sugar & topping is applied correctly to the dough, then the cooking roll needs only a quick wipe with a clean, damp cloth in-between bakes.
At the end of the working day, the wooden cooking roll can be washed under the tap, with a small amount of detergent, rinsed and then dried thoroughly with a clean dry cloth, ready for use, for the next day.

It is recommended that any repair or service is carried out by a commercial or domestic appliance service engineer. However, some parts are very easy to replace & can be done alone following our given instructions.

- Send the following information by email to: matjaz@ko-ordinator.com
a) Your full name.
b) Invoice number (written on the commercial invoice).
c) Model number of the appliance.
d) Serial number of the appliance.

Please note:
- We hold spare parts for all our baking machines. If the baking machine is out of warranty, you can purchase spare parts from us at very reasonable prices & we can give you instructions on how to replace them.
- Our equipment is built in Europe to a high standard & our oven’s & grills are made for commercial use & are hard-wearing.
- Electric heating elements are consumable parts & have a life span of around 2500 – 3000 hours. Some customers keep a couple of spare electrical heating elements for their baking machines at their location as spare parts.
- Finally, if you take care of your baking machine, it should last. Common user errors which can damage the baking machines are:
– Removing the cooking rolls incorrectly & damaging the motors (ask for link to video showing how to remove correctly).
– Setting the target temperature too high (over what we recommend) on the Electric machines & then leaving the appliance empty, causing the heating element(s) to burn out prematurely.
– Applying far too much sugar and / or oil to the Kurtos dough resulting in excess ingredients falling down during baking.
– Not cleaning the baking machine properly, allowing a build-up of burnt sugar / ingredients.
